About Us

Who we are

Jallah Academy is more than just a medical education institute — we are a global learning community committed to empowering the next generation of healthcare professionals. Founded by Dr. Mohammad Nasir Jallah, we specialize in providing high-quality, exam-focused preparation for International Medical Graduates (IMGs) from around the world who are pursuing Canadian medical licensure.

What sets us apart is our dedication to innovation, excellence, and inclusivity. We offer a full spectrum of educational services — including online and in-person classes, one-on-one mentoring, crash courses, physical examination training, video lectures, and our Jallah Academy Podcast, which promotes global health and scientific awareness.

As the founding institution of KOMU-E (Kabul Online Medical University in Exile), we also take pride in advancing educational justice. Through this initiative, we brought the KUMSs curriculum to female medical students in Afghanistan who were deprived of their right to learn. Today, KOMU-E operates under OGEC (Ottawa-Kabul Global Education Centre), a nonprofit also funded by Dr. Jallah.

At our core, we are driven by one mission: to help every student feel empowered, prepared, and inspired to reach their fullest potential.
At Jallah Academy, you don’t just learn medicine, you feel your professional pulse.

Let’s Explore

Beyond the classroom

Dr. Jallah’s impact resonates well beyond the confines of traditional education settings. Utilizing the reach and influence of social media since 2008, he has established himself as a central figure in medical awareness within the Afghan diaspora, debunking health myths and empowering communities with accurate information. His dedication to promoting health extends into physical well-being, where he also excels as a certified Canfitpro Personal Trainer Specialist, advocating for a holistic approach to health. During the Covid-19 pandemic, his expertise as a contact tracing specialist with Johns Hopkins University underscored his adaptability and unwavering dedication to public health challenges. Additionally, Dr. Jallah’s journalistic skills, developed at Internews, underscore his belief in the power of communication to bridge divides and foster understanding, further illuminating his multifaceted commitment to enhancing the well-being of communities globally.

Dr. Mohammad Nasir Jallah is not only a distinguished physician but also a visionary leader and passionate advocate for health equity. After earning his Doctor of Medicine degree from Kabul Medical University in 2008, Dr. Jallah successfully navigated the rigorous pathway of international medical licensing by passing both the Medical Council of Canada Evaluating Examination (MCCEE) and the National Assessment Collaboration Objective Structured Clinical Examination (NAC OSCE). His journey reflects resilience, dedication, and excellence. Yet, Dr. Jallah’s ambitions extend far beyond personal achievement—he has consistently transformed his success into service, championing initiatives that empower others, advance medical education, and address global disparities in healthcare.

As the CEO of the Canada Afghanistan Association of Health Professionals (CAAHP), Dr. Jallah has become a catalyst for positive change, streamlining the integration of Afghan health professionals into the Canadian healthcare system. His commitment to advancing medical education is boundless. Since 2016, Dr. Jallah has mentored Afghan medical students, guiding them through the complexities of the medical field. In 2022, he expanded his mentorship to include international students, demonstrating a commitment to fostering a globally inclusive medical community.

In 2024, Dr. Jallah founded the Ottawa-Kabul Global Education Centre (OGEC), a groundbreaking non-profit organization providing free online education to Afghan female students barred from formal education. Under his leadership, OGEC has become a vital educational lifeline, serving over 4,000 students across multiple programs, including medical, Kankoor (university entrance prep), and high school education. Dr. Jallah continues to personally support and fund OGEC’s operations, ensuring access to quality education for those who need it most.
